Home environment assessment” means a component of the Resource Family Approval process which requires an applicant to meet standards that include, but are not limited to, a background check, health and safety assessment of the home and grounds, outdoor activity space, and storage areas of the home, and capacity determination.
The assessment includes but not limited to
- A background check for an applicant and all adults residing or regularly present in the home of an applicant or Resource Family.
- A health and safety assessment of the home and grounds, outdoor activity space, and storage areas of the applicant’s home
The health and safety assessment of the home and grounds shall include the following:
- The type of residence, such as a single-family home, apartment, or duplex.
- The available living space.
- The number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Any other relevant information, such as the presence of weapons, animals, or a pool.
