All infants must be bathed daily and older children must be allowed to bathe daily.

Appropriate personal care products should be applied or available after bathing and throughout the day as needed.

All skin, regardless of ethnicity, will burn if not protected.

Proper sunscreen should be applied when needed and made available throughout the year.

Note that shampoo, lotion, and other toiletries are the responsibility of the foster parent and children cannot be required to use their allowance on these items. Foster parents are expected to provide brands of modest costs and not required to purchase special brands.
